Southfield Christian School (SCS) is located on Lahser Road in Southfield, Michigan, USA. A ministry of Highland Park Baptist Church, Southfield Christian is a college-preparatory educational community committed to "pursuing excellence for the glory of God." Founded in 1970, it educates around 825 students in grades K-12.[2]
As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 671 students and 49.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 13.6.[1]
In February 2007, the school introduced an innovative approach to accessibility when 6th graders recorded lessons and made them available as podcasts on the school website.[3]
The Southfield Christian baseball team dominated the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference going 38-1 during 2000-2004.[4] The Southfield Christian football program was started in 2005.
